Hello all,
I am new to this tribe. After having my 2nd henna tattoo I've taken an interest in learning to henna other people and myself.
I'm looking to purchase henna and some applicator bottles, preferably online.
Any recommendations for good vendors out there that sell good henna that stains?
Also, I'm seeing a lot of different types of henna, Jamila, Rajasthani, etc.
Can someone tell me about them?

Thu, June 18, 2009 - 1:09 PMI really think we have a great supplies and service. We like Jamila, it is reliable , gives great color, lasts a long time, is super sifted so it never clogs and is a great henna.
Many hennas are super slimy-stringy and hard to work with because the henna is so stringy.
Jamila is great for beginers and master artists as well.

Sun, June 21, 2009 - 6:31 PMyou have to be careful to get very well sifted henna, it often has sand and large bits of plant matter that will clog up your applicator.
The days of having to sift your henna and lose half of it because of the large bits are over with the great products like Jamila.
Also lots of henna is filled with dye that will make it bright green in color.
So be careful, test it if you can-is it baby powder fine and what happens when you wet some on a napkin? blue or green dye bleeding out.
