Is there a secret to getting the henna paste into the bottles and down to the bottom? I find I am making a huge mess when trying to fill them, and I end up wasting more than what goes in the bottle. I have tried making a tiny clip off the corner of a baggie but the henna doesn't go to the bottom of the bottle, it tends to sit in a glop on top. I ended up with a similar mess when I tried the mylar cone. Thank you.

Mon, June 2, 2008 - 12:39 PMsqueeze the bottle to get the air out of it before you add the paste. Slowly release the bottle as you squeeze the paste in and the suction will pull the paste into the bottle. -

Wed, June 4, 2008 - 8:04 AMit seems like your paste may be too thick. Also if you can find a cone shaped baggie, used for piping on baked goods it will go down into the bottle further and deliver the paste lower down.
Or you can make your own and use them to fill bottles.
THis is one huge incentive to learn how to use a cone as an applicator not just as a bottle filler.

you can wash them out and reuse them , they will help you a lot.
Your henna should be pourable, slowly, but pourable.
like yogurt or thick bake batter.
I hope this helps. -

Thu, June 5, 2008 - 7:59 AMI find that as you're squeezing the bottle and putting in the henna, sometimes you have to stop a bit and tap the bottle to get air bubbles out, then start again.
