No More Toothpaste

I'd been using toothpaste in cones to practice designs on my skin, but it was such a mess to remove! I switched to cheap thick lotion, which works much better!

Also, I recently purchased some great design e-books and have been putting the design pages inside clear acrylic page protectors and drawing on those with the lotion cones to practice the more complicated designs.

Maybe this will help other artistically-challenged newbies like myself. :)

That is a great idea, we do just the same thing, But if we want to really protect our books, we just use a sheet of wax paper over the sheet protector.
You can also use plain yogurt to practice, or pancake batter, or anything like that. I think toothpaste is a bit too thick-what did you think?

Love the page protector idea for designs! You could stick photos with them, too. I've used that idea for knitting and crochet patterns, but never thought to do it with henna!
